Concept: With a little imagination and a bit of exaggeration, make colorful and expressive paintings from your photographs. Shelby guides you in selecting the most effective photographs to paint and how to make them come to life on your canvas. Bring a large selection of photos so you can explore a variety of subject matter, including the figure, landscape, and architecture.
Experience: Shelby will demonstrate daily and offer lots of personal attention to promote both confidence and skill in creating paintings from photographs. Learn the technique of bright, complimentary-colored acrylic underpainting, with oil or acrylic paints being used to create the subject matter in a freely rendered, impressionistic style.
